Circle of Sisters 2010 Wrap-up

Circle of Sisters 2010 message: Renew. Restore. Rebuild. All was realized and accomplished at this wonderful gathering of Sisters supporting one another.  This joint was jumping! If I wasn’t tasting food, I was trying on jewelry or sampling body butters and testing leave-in conditioners. I also managed to run into a few celebs who had the pleasure of making my acquaintance…well, some of them tried to get away but I’m reppin’ Funky and I had a story to write!  It was a great day and I’ve met some amazing entrepreneurs. The word of the day was PASSION and that energy emanated throughout the building.  Find out who became an FOF! (Friend of Funky!). Here’s a glimpse of the Funky and the Chic:

107.5 WBLS staff. Registration was seamless and the reps were very friendly and helpful. The DJs engaged the passersby and kept the crowd’s heads nodding—some folks commenced to gettin’ low and dropping it like it’s hot right where they stood! Ain’t mad at y’all!

Cooking with Chef Huda. I am no foodie and spend as much time in the kitchen as a fish spends out of water. However, I found myself watching Chef Huda create a peach cobbler that had me looking around for a plate! Her style was down to Earth and unpretentious. Even Miss Omarosa got down with the cooking lesson…JustSayin: I ain’t the only one whose kitchen is the least visited room in the house.

Razac Hair Care. The sweet girl at the table assured me that Razac is no new jack in the hair care arena.  Honestly, I never heard of this brand but after the quick and insightful presentation of the product line, I decided to pick up a few items. The shampoo and conditioner promotes locking in moisture to maintain strong healthy hair—just what I’m looking for.  My take: a bag full—shampoo, conditioner, hair polish, etc. Look out for my product test results soon—Are you listening, Mr. Dowdy? :-)

Honeycat Cosmetics, Bath and Body Products. *Official Friend of Funky* What a puuurrrfect way to bathe! Terry, creator of this sexy product line is just a ball of energy. The word of the day was PASSION and Terry is bursting with it! Honeycat’s feline themed cosmetics cover all cat-egories from lip balms to foot scrubs.  They are all heaven scented and contain all natural ingredients! Please check out her web/blog site—so Diva! I can’t wait to pamper my inner pussycat! My take: Sweet Potato Pie Grooming Day Bubble Stuff

Carol’s Daughter-Hair Milk*Official Friend of Funky* Now this is a brand that is very well known and highly regarded. They say that milk does a body good but Carol’s Daughter took it a step up from the neck up and has developed a formula that nourishes the hair. Thanks to lovely Miss Suni (girl, forgive me if I just butchered your name), my locks will experience Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk products real soon.  What’s refreshing is that it contains no sulphates and is infused with essential vitamins and oils. Another plus—no sticky residue feeling from the leave-in conditioner! Tested it right there on the spot and was impressed by the fast absorption; couldn’t tell it was there! My take: Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk Curl Perfecting shampoo, conditioner and leave-in formula

Much love to all of you who became my ‘conference sistahs’ and helped me out when I needed volunteer paparazzi!

See you next time!
