Our Caribbean bredren knows a thing or two about fashion! Yesterday wrapped up the 3rd annual Islands of the World Fashion Week (IWFW) on exotic Nassau, Bahamas (Nov 11-13). I’m hearing that the designers just did the damned thing! My carib sistah who hails from Nassau was onsite to experience the hauteness of fashion dem way come! Spring/Summer 2011 collections are hot—sunbursts of color, flair and spicy-sophistication! What makes this annual event even more special is the addition of the Fashion Cares for Haiti benefit fashion show complete with an all Haitian designer runway showcase. Funky promises to keep the ear to the ground for 2011 IWFW event dates and perhaps report to you live from the beautiful islands where every-ting irie!
